A naturalist from Three Rivers Park District will guide the class in exploring
the outdoors. This will be a hands-on experience using all of the senses.

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
(42 months up to kindergarten)
Take the first step in the Anoka-Hennepin Schools STEM program! Does
your son or daughter like to build and figure out how things work? With
a variety of materials, you and your child will use problem-solving skills to
explore the “why’s” and “how comes” of a STEM world! This fun, handson class is a great way to inspire a passion for STEM in girls as well as
boys. Parent discussion focuses on what parents can do to support their
child’s learning.

Terrific Twos & Threes (24-47 months)
Play and learn with your child in this class, designed for children emerging
from toddlerhood and entering the preschool years. Discuss strategies to
help you understand and appreciate everyday life with your child. Explore
a variety of skills that can help you nurture and guide your child through

This preschool class meets two days a week.
The first day parents and children attend
together. The second day is for children
only. Parent attendance is expected in order
for child to participate in the child only
day. Activities are aligned with the school
district’s preschool curriculum to enhance the
development of social skills, math, literacy,
music and science. Parent topics include
getting ready for kindergarten, setting limits,
bedtime and more. *Sibling care available at

NEW! The Not So Terrible Twos (24-35 months)
There’s a good reason they’re called the ‘terrible twos.’ Any parent
can attest that kids at this stage are highly energetic and often
temperamental. At times they’re the cutest charmers in the world, but
why do they save their meltdowns for the grocery store line or the dinner
table with your in-laws? Activities and discussion times are tailor-made for
families of toddlers. Power struggles, toilet learning, positive discipline
and boosting a child’s self-esteem are discussion topics.
