Babies, Babies, Babies!( Birth-12 months)

Join other parents to play and learn in a baby-safe environment. Babies will have fun with activities and songs; parents will learn about development, early learning activities, sleeping and eating. Parents / caregivers and children remain together for the class. Although this is a free class, pre-registration is required. Limit one free class per family, per semester. * Sibling care is available at Riverview – see page 6 for fee.

What are age-specific classes?

The age of the child attending the class must fall within the age guideline during the first week class is held. Each class includes parent / child time, learning activities for children and parenting discussion.

If you need a class for children of various ages, consider a mixedage class, found on pages 8-12; or Riverview’ s sibling care option.

NO CLASSES: ECFE classes will not be held on Oct. 10, Oct. 18-21, the evening of Nov. 8, Nov. 22- 25, Dec. 5, Dec. 23-Jan. 2 and Jan. 16.

Class Under Glass( 30 months up to kindergarten)

Studies prove that spending time outdoors builds confidence, promotes creativity, provides different stimulation, and gets children moving, while reducing stress and fatigue. Parents and children will learn about the outdoors and nature, both in and out of our greenhouse, through artwork and sensory experiences. This 15-week class will be spent inside and outdoors- even through the winter months! * Sibling care is available for this class – see page 6 for fee.

Infant Massage, Parenting & Time Together( Birth-12 months)

Come to this class, led by a Certified Infant Massage Instructor / ECFE teacher, and learn all the ways that infant massage / touch can benefit your child and you as a parent. Each week we will try various massage strokes and combine the time with child development / parenting topics. Massage can lead to lifelong benefits! Although this is a free class, pre-registration is required. Limit one free class per family, per semester.

Movers & Doers( 9-20 months)

Learning activities designed for children on the move. Parenting discussion occurs in the classroom so children can practice independence with a parent / caregiver nearby. Sometime during the semester, we may practice separation. Topics include responding to new behaviors, encouraging language development, preventing temper tantrums and more.
