Historic Churches of Minnesota
Journey around Minnesota exploring the history of many of
the state’s oldest churches. Join Doug Ohman in his quest
of photographing nearly 3,000 churches. Hear the tale and
meet many of the people that Doug met along the way. Books
available for purchase after class (optional). Class held at Stoney
River Assisted Living in Ramsey. Class fee: $19.

Boost your bones by adding strength training to your exercise
routine! Strength training will build your bones and benefit
your joints by strengthening the surrounding muscles, which
will keep your joints in alignment to decrease wear and tear.
Use free weights, resistance bands and floor work for a total
body workout that everyone can do. Class will include balance
and agility training. Dress in comfortable clothing, and bring
athletic shoes, water, and a cushioned mat. See website for class

55+ Defensive Driving
If you are 55 or older, become eligible to receive a 10 percent
discount on your car insurance and become a better driver! No
driving or test required. Include your name as it appears on your
driver’s license with registration. Class fee: $29 8-hour new.
Add a special touch or charm to your garden with these
adorable fused-glass garden stakes. Learn about the tools to
personalize your project with an array of color options. Set of
four stakes measures approximately 12 in. height. Class held
at Lady Bug Pottery in Champlin. No experience is necessary.
Supply fee of $30 paid at class. Class fee $19.

Make a Difference
Feel good about making a difference! Learn about volunteer
opportunities in Anoka County serving children, adults, seniors,
groups and/or families. Many short-and long-term opportunities
are available. Handouts provided. Presented by Anoka County
Volunteer Alliance (ACVA). Although this is a free class, pre-
registration is required.
