Mother’s Day Tea NEW | Quick and Easy Appetizers
Begin a tradition by treating Mom to an evening of fun and
relaxation. Enjoy specially prepared tea and foods at the historic
Ticknor Hill Bed and Breakfast in Anoka. Take home recipes
and tea tips. Please note that seating is pre-assigned; if you
would like to be seated as a group or with a friend, please call
763-506-5766 to let us know. Doors will open at 6:45 p.m. for
participants. Class fee: $35 one; $65 two. Join us for an evening creating various crowd-pleasing
20-minute appetizers! You can serve these as a first course,
a snack or even as a complete buffet for family and friends.
Selections include recipes for spreads, hearty appetizers, dips,
hot appetizers and more. Bring an appetite for sampling in class.
You will also learn tips for creating an appetizer party. Bring a
container to bring home leftovers. Supply fee of $15 cash paid

Oodles of Zoodles
Zucchini just might be one of the world’s best kept secrets. This
little green dream is chock full of nonfat goodness, vitamins,
antioxidants and minerals. Join AmyLeo to learn these easy-to-
prepare, hard-to-resist recipes. You will prepare and sample,
yummy Thai peanut noodle salad, zoodles with avocado basil
pesto and miso mushroom soup with zoodles. Bring a container

Fruit Pies
Do you love pie? Instructor, Jan Zita-Grover, will teach you how
to bake a pie anywhere, using just about anything to measure:
glass bottles, cast-iron skillets and old pizza pans. Class focuses
on butter, butter-lard crusts, spectrum vegetable shortening,
filling preparation and hands-on baking of your one-person pie.
Extensive handouts provided. Bring a rolling pin if you have one
(no Teflon please), an oven thermometer if you have one and a
small container to bring home your pie. Supply fee of $15 cash
paid to instructor at class. Class fee $39.

Tandoori dishes are traditionally cooked in special clay pots over
fire. Join Chef Anu, in learning how to make Tandoori recipes for
your summer entertaining with easily available ingredients and
no special equipment! You will make tandoori chicken, tandoori
gobi (cauliflower), naan (a soft leavened bread), choley (chickpea
masala curry), Indian salad and ghee rice (basmati rice with

Japanese cuisine at home? This cooking class with Chef Anu
is the ideal way to explore Japanese cooking. You will learn to
make shrimp tempura, while enjoying a warm miso soup paired
with a crunchy kani salad accompanied by kewpie dressing
sauce. Prepare hand-rolled dragon rolls with homemade unagi
sauce and chicken katsudon (Japanese-style pan fried chicken
