Learn to Cross Country Ski
Balance, stride and glide! Learn cross-country skiing basics: proper equipment fitting, stopping, turning and a brief introduction to small hills. This recreational activity is a peaceful way to explore the parks in winter while getting a great, low-impact workout. Class held at Bunker Hills Activity Center. Dress in layers. All equipment is provided.

Intro to Kayaking
This hands-on beginner class is set up to teach the basics of kayaking from qualified instructors. You will learn about safety, proper paddling form and paddle strokes. All equipment provided. See website for recommended attire. Class held at Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park.

Mississippi River Paddling Trip
The Mississippi River makes for a beautiful place to spend an evening. We will be embarking on a leisurely paddle from Coon Rapids Dam up the Mississippi and back. Canoes and kayaks will be available, along with paddles and PFDs. Some paddling experience is recommended.

Intro to Pickleball
Players will learn all the basics to be able to play pickleball. We will cover equipment, unique lingo, score keeping, court position, and the fundamentals of serve, return and the volley. Players receive instruction plus playing time.

Tai Chi & Qigong Mix it Up
Students will learn how to“ play Tai Chi” by practicing different Tai Chi forms, Qigong forms, Acupoints, Tai Chi Ruler, Bang Stick, Baoding Ball, and Unweighted Ball. Appropriate for most physical conditions. Students must be able to turn, bend slightly, and stand at least half of the time. This class improves student’ s flexibility, agility, body awareness, balance, and calms and relaxes the mind. No experience necessary. Wear comfortable clothes and flat shoes( no sandals, please).
