Advanced Directives Meditation
Not all Advanced Directives (AD) are created equal! Discover
firsthand knowledge of what can occur in medical situations from
a registered nurse. Discuss medical terms so educated choices
for language can be included in your document. Physician
Ordered Life Sustaining Treatment and Power of Attorney
documents will also be reviewed. Instructor is a master’s degree
registered nurse well-versed in AD’s from her years of experience
working in the intensive care unit (ICU), emergency department
and as a death investigator. Class fee: $39 one; $65 two. Learn how your energy, emotions and thoughts connect to
your physical body. Discover the numerous health benefits
to meditation. Learn several different meditation exercises
and techniques that teach you to ground, relax and de-stress.

Advanced Meditation
This class builds on “Meditation,” but is not a prerequisite
to attending this class. Go deep within, quieting your mental
chatter and experiencing deep rest and inner peace while
focusing on the practice of silencing the mind. Continue to walk
through each guided meditation, but move to a deeper personal
awareness in every moment of every day. Bring pillow and
blanket. Class fee: $39.

NEW | Restorative Foot Workshop
Most of us have feet that lack mobility and strength. This is
directly linked to alignment issues and joint pain in other parts
of the body. This workshop will address some of the common
causes of those tight, stiff feet. Learn how to improve foot
function and health. Healthier feet = healthier you. Dress for
some simple movement. You will be barefoot, no socks. Bring a
yoga mat or folded blanket. Class fee: $45.

Seizure Smart Training
One in ten Americans will have a seizure of some type in their
lifetime, and one in 26 individuals will develop epilepsy at some
point. Knowing how to properly respond to a seizure could
be lifesaving. This course will go over how to identify seizures,
how to respond to seizures, and overcome the myths and
misconceptions surrounding seizures and epilepsy. The instructor
is the Seizure Smart Schools program coordinator at the Epilepsy
Foundation of Minnesota. Even though this class is free, pre-
registration is required.
