extremely short film D epression and suicidal thoughts have become such global epidemic amongst young people today. Joojo, the main character is captured in scenes where he is seen discussing his issues with his friends who assure him that he is not alone as far as his ‘ordeals’ are concerned. Joewackle Kusi, who was in charge of screenplay, narrated the story such in a way it brought out the raw nature of the character making him lovable and relatable. The movie takes the viewer on an emotional rollercoaster ride whilst unraveling the reality of depression and suicidal thoughts amongst young people in our society. With good cinematography coupled with great location and excellent narrative skills, Boys No Dey Cry makes crying an OK thing to do sometimes in the wake of depression. The film touches different viewers at different points and places. In latter part of the film, the identity of the therapist is revealed. The therapist is himself which means he becomes his own therapist in order to find answers to various questions he thinks he can respond to. BOYS NO DEY CRY is a very relatable piece which voices out the cries of struggling youth in the country. The pressures they get from family and their reactions to religion in their trying times.
