About: Mrs. Yang, Guizhou Province, mother of two left-behind children
This is my hometown. We always come back
here for the first three days of the Lunar New
Year. The area is called “Gun Rock” in Yongna
county, Guizhou Province.
During the Spring Festival, I came back to my
hometown to visit my parents. Since they are
getting older year by year, I asked them to
take a picture with me. They are getting older
but their children are not around. All I can
do is wish for them to be healthy, safe and
happy!
On this day, February 7, 2017, one of my children’s best friends (in the centre of the picture)
was moving away from the hometown to go to school in the city where his parents work. My
daughter and some other children spontaneously decided to see him off by accompanying him
to the roadside to take the bus. I took this picture to preserve this wonderful moment for them.
We don’t need beautiful photos, just real-life experiences!
