PhotoVoice 7 About: Yuanqiang Chen, Shandong Province, father of a left-behind child My sister visited my home on the third day of the Lunar New Year. She bought a lot of fruit for the children. My son was very happy. He picked up a few grapes and hid them behind his back. He asked me excitedly, “Dad, do you know what’s in my hand?” I was so happy hearing him talk like this because there didn’t seem to be any distance between us despite not seeing him for a year. After getting up in the morning, we took our son to my parents’ house. On the way there, my wife and I were trying to win red envelopes on our phones, when suddenly my son turned to us and said: “Mom and Dad, could you buy me a cell phone? You’re going to leave home again in a few days. If I have a phone, I can video chat with you using the phone and see you every day.” My wife and I were so happy when we heard this. Our son has grown up! We brought our four-year-old son to the playground on the ninth day of the Lunar New Year. He was crazily playing with every thing except the keyboard. He became completely consumed and played on it for a long time before suddenly saying: “Mom and Dad, could you buy me a piano? I want to become a pianist when I grow up!” We don’t need beautiful photos, just real-life experiences! Scan to enter our eLearning platform where you’ll find tips and tricks for a happy work life.
