My business is all about…..

Being able to provide a broad range of specialist services including thee development and delivery of Indigenous community engagement strategies to support companies in better engagment with Indigenous stakeholders, development of Indigenous participation strategies that include Indigenous employment, community investment and Indigenous economic development, Indigenous mentoring and coaching to support the integration of Indigenous employees into the workforce, advice and training on the implementation of Indigenous cultural competence for companies and their leaders, consultancy advice on the development of key Indigenous affairs policy frameworks, coaching support to leaders and supervisors in working with Indigenous employees and the design and delivery of recruitment and resourcing strategies targeted at Indigenous candidates.

The thing that motivates me the most is……

Looking towards the future and wanting one nation with no gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people. I would love to live in a more Indigenous inclusive society and to see more indigenous people in all levels of management and leaders in any industry.

The most courageous thing I have done so far in my life is…..

Standing up for my rights even when other Indigenous people were afraid to and shame. I have always been an honest person who did the right thing and always followed the rules.

I had followed the process in formally submitting a complaint for racial discrimination with a company for how they were speaking about Indigenous people the company made me feel like I was in the wrong.

How can anyone tell you that what you felt, heard and saw was a misunderstanding especially when it was the leaders in the business who were supporting this type of behavior. If you are going to pick any faults with me make sure that it’s based on my performance not when it’s the one thing that I cannot change which is who I am an Indigenous woman.

It is really hard to change the behaviors and mentality of people who still think its ok to make racially discriminating comments towards others and for their leaders to allow it. I still don’t understand how people can view others of different beliefs and cultures as less important as their own.
