The biggest lesson I have learnt to date is……

Don’t be afraid to lead the way. People are comfortable in their comfort zone don’t be afraid to step out of it and challenge yourselves and others. I have challenged leaders, people and processes in companies and my reason for this is because it shows room for improvement especially when involving Indigenous people. Many times I have had Leaders in companies who tell me that they know what is best and have worked with Indigenous people from different areas but you need to remember that you are Indigenous and what you know works and is what is in the best interest for our people.

If I could give my 16 year old self any words of wisdom, it would be………

“It’s the moments together that change us forever” Unknown

To love my family and to make the most of life and to make treasurable memories. I have lost a lot of family members from health and domestic violence. If I knew now what I knew then I would influence loved ones to make better choices.

If I had to give other entrepreneurs a piece of advice, it would be……..

To be proud of who you are and where you come from. We have the oldest living culture of the world dating as far back as 70,000 years. No one in the world can say that they are a descendent of a 70,000 year old living culture.

My favourite quote / or something I really believe in is…..

“If you can’t change the world, change the people to change the world” Kyra Bonney
