Jenna joined the women ' s team a few years back and was an absolute breath of fresh air . She quickly got stuck in with helping to run the team and recruiting new players . This year in particular she has been amazing , she identified the need for a regular coach to take the women ' s soft ball cricket training , got qualified , went out recruiting and has inspired new players to join the club and play cricket . She is by far our most popular soft ball cricket coach , and female coach I think I can say ! She has also stayed involved in the women ' s hard ball team , providing all the match day admin , getting the team and officials to the right place at the right time and sending weekly updates about the club and training . This year she also sourced new coloured kit for the women ' s team - no mean feat as it involved a lot of suppliers to find that perfect trouser to fit a woman ' s shape ! As a result we look stunning and feel more like a team than ever . And if this wasn ' t enough , she has also organised a glow in the dark cricket event for the junior and women ' s section which again has brought a whole new cohort of women to the club and raised much needed funds . It ' s happening tonight so I ' ll let you know how it goes ! All this with a smile on her face and the most generous outlook on life . Thank goodness for people like Jenna . She really does deserve a shout out . |

Sara started to play women ' s softball a couple of years ago and then completed the ECB Foundation I Coach course last year . Since then , she has taken on the coaching of the younger teams within Whitmore Cricket Club and is absolutely loving it . Her son plays and is why she got involved initially but to see her confidence grow the more she coaches is so lovely to see . The girls within the club like to see a female involved and Sara is continuing to inspire more women to play softball cricket as their team grows in size each month . Sara is my best friend and to see a non-cricketer being such a brilliant coach is amazing . |
