see in Mark 1:14-19 that in
the city of Galilee, about
2,000 years ago, each family earned
their livelihood through the craft
learned in the family. Some were
fishermen, others carpenters, and
others worked in the fields. Zebedee
was a fisherman and brought fish to
the community and soon he passed
this craft on to his sons James and
John. Every day they accompanied
their father and learned from him.
The routine of everyday life went well
until the invitation of a man (Jesus)
changed the whole story of James,
John, and Zebedee. The routine of a
family that worked together was
interrupted by a simple, but irre-
sistible, invitation.
Like them, we are invited to par-
ticipate in the work by answering our
call. The challenge of dropping the
nets, like James and John, is more
than real in our time, but equally
necessary. God's call is exciting, but
just as terrifying and conflict-ridden
for us. And maybe that's why we feel
so insecure. When we understand the
nobility of the mission, our hearts
open to the new. Only then do we
begin to live God's will. Jesus' disci-

ples experienced this uncertainty
when they began to spread the Good
News. When we say that the call can
take us out of the comfort zone, we
return to the story of James, John,
and Zebedee. It is necessary to have
a heart aligned with the will of God to
receive the changes and challenges
with an open heart. There is no call
that comes from a source other than
Jesus. When He called the disciples,
He called them to follow Him. In that
sense, there is no calling without the
participation of Jesus. God's project
begins in God, develops through God,
and ends with the glorification of
God. We are just helpers in a much
larger cause. The glory is always His
and never ours.
The call takes us out of our
mediocre aspirations and shows us
that there is something much bigger
than ourselves. James and John, for
example, stopped fishing for fish to
change lives by the power of God.
Christ's call is empowering because it
takes us forward, transforms our
way of thinking, and changes our
hearts.
It is in this way that CMA Brazil
sees the call to this ministry. We have
Mashihe Shalom!
(Christ’s Peace!) Our traditional
greetings from India to our CMA
Family.
We feel so proud to carry the
message of Christ on our backs
declaring the SON as we ride our
bikes on the highways and byways
of India.
For us as CMA India, the most
exciting thing about being part of
the CMA Family is the sense of
to leave our comfort zone and go out
to take the Word of God that changes
the lives of people who are lost and
without direction to the place of due
worship to our God, Savior, and
Father. We have been praying that
God will raise up men and women
challenged in this mission of chang-
ing the world, one heart at a time.
God has done a lot for us: giving
resources to the extent necessary,
bringing people to walk together, and
pruning them when necessary.
If we trust in God, why continue
with the nets in hand?
Throw the nets in the hands of
those who can do much more, throw
them in the hands of God!
Amen! CMA

And even though our works
seems so insignificant as individu-

we have been called to play our

has given to the CMA Family.
