WHY WE LOVE TO BLESS BIKES of the first events that I
ONE went to as a new CMA member was a Run for the Son event , and it was there that I got my first motorcycle blessing . My fellow CMA ' ers gathered around me and prayed for God ' s presence on my motorcycle riding season . You could feel the love , faith , and sincerity in their prayers .
We , in the Christian Motorcyclists Association , love to bless bikes because we love bikers . In the brotherhood of bikers , we help one another . Bikers are a special breed , and God loves them . My brother bikers are givers . They may not be the richest , but many are great at giving . This I have witnessed and know . They care for one another , and it is not uncommon for them to raise funds for families of past members . Many bikers are serviceoriented such as helping needy children by fundraising events and toy runs . Motorcycle clubs pick up garbage along the highway and feed the needy . Veteran bikers support their veterans . There is a whole different world with motorcyclists , some great things that bikers do that nobody ever notices . There is a special community , a brotherhood , and being with fellow brothers and sisters of the road is a feeling that is hard to describe . We love bikers .
First of all , we genuinely believe in the power of prayer . It can move mountains . I bless my food and expect it to be blessed . The Bible says , “ Therefore I tell you , whatever you ask for in prayer , believe that you have received it , and it will be yours ” ( Mark 11:24 , NIV ). Primarily there is power in agreement in prayer as we gather around a biker and his bike . Prayer is not only done in church pews but in byways and highways . Motorcycle blessing is all about building bridges of friendship and faith in Jesus . There is nothing better than to see bikers bowing their heads in prayer and surrender to Jesus . We have seen God answer many of those prayers , not only for protection as they ride but for God ' s continuing work in their lives .
The spring bike blessing is more than just a prayer for safety on the roads . For many , it is the official kick-off of the riding season and a chance to renew old riding friendships . So we pray for these men and women and the amazing
