CLUBSKILLSGUIDE How to Do it (coach at club level) The club coach needs to learn through the respective coach education and development activities available in the home countries. A club coach must work off the education of the respective Level 1 and Level 2 coach education courses. Clinics and technical workshops are offered to club coaches in England through the regional development programme and in Scotland through basketballscotland’s coach development programmes. Club coaches need to apply their existing knowledge to the role of a club coach and then extend their knowledge and understanding on behalf of the players they are responsible for. The coach’s role is clearly to use their knowledge and understanding to design and plan practice, convey information and provide meaningful feedback to players. In Scotland, this support is offered by the Coach Education Manager and Regional Development Officers.
