Bart Miller, 50 years of age and live at 502 3rd Avenue. I am a business owner in
the town of Clarence.
Why do you feel you are the most qualified candidate to fill the open
council seat?
Having sat on the council for four years I believe I understand how the city
should run in an efficient fashion. It has been an enjoyable four years but there is
still things that need to be accomplished.
Do you have any specific issues you feel need to be addressed in our community?
We need to continue with replacing water mains as the budget allows and also
seriously consider the curb and gutter option for the city. Infiltration is still a
major concern and needs to be a top priority for the next council.

For CURRENT council members: What qualities do you feel you have
brought to the council during your tenure?
Being a business owner in town I am very accessible if someone needs something
or has a question. I feel I am a very good listener and take citizens concerns to the
council to be acted on. With the second business venture started in town I am
not planning on leaving town anytime soon. I believe in this town, as well as believing in the people that live here.
What are your positions on current community projects, such as the library
building project, downtown beautification and promotion of new business in
Clarence? How will you, as a councilperson, assist in promoting these projects?
Our downtown defiantly [sic] needs some attention. This is obvious by driving
thru and looking at some of the buildings. As far as the library goes, I feel a new
library would be a great asset to the community but it needs to be funded as the
committee brought it to us at a council meeting, by grants and donations.
