Would like the opportunity to become an active member in the community, to be open to listening to what the people of Clarence would like so that their voices are heard with the understanding that the City Council do what is the Best possible for the Community. “This is the Do you have any specific issues you feel need to be addressed in our community? I feel that we need to make the community feel welcome at coming to the City Council Meetings. There is too much “I’m not coming or saying anything because it won’t make a difference”. This is the Community’s Council and the Community needs to be heard. One of the most important things as a City Council Member is that “you have to be an advocate for the community”. Make decisions based on what is the best interest of the Community as a whole. Community’s Council and the Community needs to be heard.” What are your positions on current community projects, such as the library building project, downtown beautification and promotion of new business in Clarence? How will you, as a councilperson, assist in promoting these projects? Library building project – The crowding at the current library proves to me that we are in need of more space. We need to provide the community with the resources it needs, whether it is checking out materials or using the internet. We still have families that do not have access to internet and rely on the library to provide that service for them. Downtown Beautification – We need to encourage our business owners to keep their buildings kept up, when you drive through Clarence, we would like people that drive through our town to say “hey what a beautiful little town” and to prospective residents, “I would like to live here, they care about how their community looks”. Promotions of New Business - We need to encourage new business to come to Clarence, it would possibly bring jobs for some local residents and also bring visitors to the community.
