CiGen - Robotic Process Automation (RPA) CiGenroboticprocessautomationrpapresentation | Page 9

Getting Started What is your beginning strategy for RPA? Identify the right Processes for Automation Create an RPA Process Automation Roadmap  Robustness of current processes (as is) – are they documented and if so, how?  You need a measure – do you have current process times/costs to enable you to compare to robot automation?  Don’t keep your broader staff in the cold (word always gets around)  Expectation management – you build over time (quickly), but not in one day  RPA Centre of Excellence (CoE), RPA Managed, or a combination of both?  Robots are not the whole solution. You will still need people to solve the cognitive parts of processes  Simplify processes for robotics (doesn’t need to designed for a person)  Robots are not set and forget. Things change (processes, documents, application updates, etc.)  Ci Gen Pty Ltd (CiGen) Do you need to automate every process iteration? Be aware of over refining workflows (what is the cost benefit of including every process scenario) 9
