I mean even Scrooge or the Grinch would have a tough time holding back the boogie if they caught a slice of these jams. The vocals are delivered with ease by Dakota and Manus. They really know how to entertain, perfect for any party, but only if you’re prepared to get crazy and have a real good time. And the instrumentalists.. gad damn! The guys keeping the beat are of the highest quality. They could all play their way out of a cardboard box if they had to. Every last one is up to chops and they prove it, busting out solos from time to time, holding it down with ease. I broke out a few dance moves my-self, I must admit. Although I try to keep it to the two-step or maybe a little gangsta lean. I’ll also occasionally break into some full-on tequila fueled robot movements, or some other kind of foolishness that no one deserves to have to witness. Purple Drank is a Burlington based Hip-Hop/R&B group that you will probably be seeing somewhere near you this upcoming year. They are new to the scene but already have a long list of songs they perform. I highly recommend you go and check them out. You can find photos and videos on their Facebook page. The talent is clear when you see this group, and you probably haven't seen anything like this before. If that isn't enough reason for you to check these guys out then I must tell you I booked them myself at Vermont Pub and Brewery as our final performance of the Summer, Labor Day Weekend, Sunday September 1st. After all, "You can't trust a skinny cook".
