After his resurrection, Jesus spread the word of the kingdom of God, gaining disciples and followers. After his death, Jesus was seen on 12 different occasions by over 500 people. He showed himself to Salome, Joanna, Simon Peter, two other disciples that were on their way to Emmaus, and that’s not even everybody. He also appeared in front of ten other disciples at Jerusalem, but the amazing part is that all of these times were throughout the same day, which was the day of the resurrection. Then after he showed himself to Thomas and Nathanael, he gave one of his most important sermons in front of 500 people.. In Luke Acts 1:3 it says there there may even have been appearances that were not recorded.

When Jesus was alive, he preached about God, and told his followers that he was the son of God. Not everyone believed him, and that’s actually what got him killed, but after he was resurrected, there was no doubt that he really was. Even more so, because he showed himself to many people, people now knew and believe in him, so the rapid growth in Christian faith would now begin. Jesus’s resurrection was probably the most significant event in all of Christianity. It signified that Jesus was the son of God, and was pretty much the start to the expansion of Christianity.
