The Soccer team had high expectations entering this season, hoping to repeat as Catholic League champs. However, very tough competition( CC, De La Salle) killed those hopes. In their nonleague schedule, the Warriors beat all the teams they were expected to beat, but they never really performed their best against the top teams. A 7-7-3 season ended with a heartbreaking loss to Seaholm in the first round of Districts, 2-1.

A lot of smiles after winning the Catholic League Championship Oct. 22 at Kensington Metropark ever.” When asked about the season overall and the goals of the team, Junior Michael Tremonti said he’ s not surprised by the team’ s success.
“ Over the summer, we had a good idea of the potential we had,” he said.“ We put in the miles and the effort every single day and knew that it would pay off during the season. Our expectation was to hopefully come in Top Ten at the State meet but, since then, our goals have changed and have been raised beyond that.”
Head Coach Mr. Stark also sees the potential.
“ If all of the younger guys continue to work hard, they will be very successful,” he said.
When asked about the expectations for the team going into the State Meet, Mr. Stark modeled his team’ s conservative approach.
“ That is in three weeks,”
Stark said.“ Ask me then.”
Combine that focus with highly motivated athletes and a fantastic group of assistant coaches, including Mr.
McCarville, Mr. King, and Mr. Higdon, and the Cross Country team should be a force not only this season, but for seasons to come.
