Residents feel lucky to weather uncertain times together

When Melba Daniels relocated from her home in Georgia to SpringRidge at Charbonneau in June 2020 , she was thrilled to move closer to her son and his family . She also felt lucky to be in a community setting with friendly neighbors and an entire team dedicated to her health , safety and wellbeing .
“ Though it was quite challenging moving cross country during the pandemic , I ’ m so happy I did ,” she said . “ I don ’ t worry about COVID now that I ’ m here . The staff takes care of everything — from sanitizing areas to maintaining social distancing .”
Additionally , the active retirement community has implemented extensive cleaning and disinfecting protocols and stringent precautionary measures such as a thorough visitor screening process with temperature checks . “ The people truly make the community ,” said Melba . “ The staff has been wonderful and I ’ ve met some amazing dinner mates .”
As part of the dining program , the talented executive chef and his team have reimagined the dining experience , offering residents freshly made , mouth-watering menu choices — brought to their door with a smile or in The Charbonneau Room with social distancing in place .
