COVID-19 vaccination webinar on Feb . 3
Basic information on vaccines will be offered in a webinar Wednesday , Feb . 3 , at 10 a . m . Charbonneau resident Dr . Lee Harker is a retired pediatrician and is experienced in providing information in “ normal English .”
She will be presenting a detailed explanation of the new COVID-19 vaccines and what makes them able to be made so quickly . Following the presentation , there will be an opportunity to “ ask ” questions .
An email notice announcing the webinar , titled “ The Nitty Gritty of the COV- ID-19 Vaccines ,” has already been sent to residents .

Free Document shredding event Feb . 27
With all of the time spent at home in 2020 , many residents have been cleaning closets , attics and files , and document shredding needs have increased .
There are 13 neighborhood HOAs in Charbonneau and many of them have the same issue with lack of space to store outdated documents . With that in mind , many of the HOAs decided that sharing in the cost of shredding makes more sense than bearing the cost of shredding individually .
We would like to thank Windermere Charbonneau Real Estate for also helping to sponsor this event .
You do not need to remove paper clips and staples from your paper before shredding , however , we do ask that you remove the paper from three-ring binders , etc .
There will be a shredding truck located in the Village Center parking lot Saturday , Feb . 27 , from 10 a . m . to 1 p . m . We are not taking canned food donations at
this time but will gratefully accept donations in the form of a check made payable to Wilsonville Community Sharing .
Tax preparation webinar Feb . 11
“ Almost everything you wanted to know about 2020 taxes !”
Join us on Thursday , Feb . 11 , at 1 p . m . for a free Zoom webinar presented by Charbonneau resident Don Mason . Don is an 11-year volunteer tax preparer and district manager with AARP Tax-Aide . He has prepared and supervised tax preparation in both Wilsonville and Oregon City in prior years .
Don will have answers to the following questions and there will be an opportunity for you to ask your own questions at the end of the presentation :
How to organize your tax material ? How many years do I have to keep it ? Federal tax changes — what ’ s new or changed ? Oregon Tax Law changes — what ’ s new or changed ? How do I get my taxes prepared for the 2020 tax year ? Questions ?
The webinars we have been offering have been varied and some are not only
educational but also entertaining . Thanks to Greg Leo for the well-received civics webinars he presented in January .
Charbonneau ’ s Easter Egg Event March 27
Save the date ! One of the most-loved events that the country club sponsors is the annual Easter egg hunt . Unfortunately , because of the pandemic , last year ’ s event was canceled and this year ’ s event may look a little different .
It is too soon to tell if we will be able to gather for a hunt or if we will just hand out goody bags that include eggs for hiding at home . Either way , the Easter Bunny will need to know the number of children for planning purposes .
Charbonneau residents are invited to register their children or grandchildren ( ages 1-6 ). The deadline for registration is Friday , March 19 . You can register by email at Kim @ CharbonneauCountry- Club . com or sign-up in the CCC office ( we need the name and age of each child ).
We will have more information in the March issue of The Villager newspaper as to what this year ’ s event will look like so stay tuned !
