A new , friendly face will say “ hello ” to Charbonneau residents who visit the Charbonneau Country Club this year .
West Linn resident Jennifer Waggoner started working at the CCC mid-November and is the first face people will see when entering the clubhouse .
“ I really like people and working with people and hearing their stories ,” Jennifer said . “ I just thought this would be a great place to meet people . The people here seem great and would be a good team to work with .”
Prior to applying to her position with the CCC , Jennifer was familiar with Charbonneau . Her parents and brother had previously resided in the area so when a job opened up , she jumped at the opportunity .
Jennifer works the front desk at the CCC , greets people , performs administrative tasks and will help plan events when COVID-19 restrictions are lifted .
“ I ’ m just learning a lot of
different things while I ’ m here ,” she said . “ Everybody has been just great ... I just love working here . What I ’ m doing fits me perfectly .”
Jennifer has always been working in administration , whether it ’ s been with banking or loan centers .
She also previously worked for the West Linn-Wilsonville School District in nutrition
services and for the former House Rep . Julie Parrish .
“ Julie got elected and I had worked for her in nutrition services so she called me and asked me if I would come work for her in Salem ,” said Jennifer , who had no prior background or experience in politics .
Ultimately , Jennifer really enjoys helping with events .
She has three grown boys and when they were younger , she was on the Parent Teacher Association ( PTA ) and helped plan auctions and carnivals .
“ We had over 70 applicants who applied for this position and Jennifer was the top pick ,” said Kim Hosford with the CCC . “ She works well with people and has a lot of
