Boys & Girls Aid

Why the Easter wreath ?
King Solomon once said that there is nothing new under the sun . Of course he was wrong . There have been many inventions since his time . The Boys and Girls Aid CEO and president Dr . Suzan Huntington has invented an Easter wreath . We have never seen one before . Have you ?
Each year the Cypress Branch of Boys and Girls Aid creates Easter baskets for 15 girls and boys that are cared for by Boys and Girls Aid . We have done the baskets for many years . Every year , at one of our luncheons
WIESENTHAL Terri Royse , right , and Margie Wiesenthal stand with the Easter wreath . we pass around a list of what is needed for the Easter baskets . Women sign up for the items they will provide . This year we are not having luncheons in person . We needed another way to sign up for items .
Wishing You the Simple Pleasures of the Season Have you been dancing around the idea of selling your home or buying a new one ?
Home values are the strongest they have been in years and we are experiencing a shortage of homes for sale . If you have considered selling your home , now is the right time . And if you are buying , I have multiple ways to help make your offer stand out against others .

That is the reason for the Easter wreath . The wreath contained about 25 cardboard eggs . On the back of each egg was a request for items to go into the Easter baskets . Each request was for 15 items , one for each basket . Suzan
hung the wreath she had invented on Leslie Walkers front porch . Each of us selected an egg , purchased the items and returned them to Leslie .
Then Terri Royse with her committee assembled the baskets at her house . The baskets themselves , along with the Easter grass , wrapping , beanie babies , coloring books and pencils are donated each year by Connie Taylor . The rest of the items donated by those of us who chose an egg , include socks , journals , chocolate rabbits , plastic eggs with candy inside , craft items , stickers and more . Girl ' s baskets contained girl items such as ribbons or scrunchies . Boy ' s baskets contained items such as Legos or cars . Each basket was wrapped in cellophane and tied with a big bow that one of our members made .
The baskets were wonderful . The boys and girls who receive them had never had one before . This is truly new for each of them .
