Counting down to the Festival of the Arts
June 3-5 Festival of the Arts
We ’ re counting down to the first weekend in June for the 2022 Art with Flair , 38th Charbonneau Festival of the Arts . Mark your calendars for June 3-5 ! Excitement among the organizing committee is building as we envision our best-ever art festival encompassing our
MCLAIN previous clubhouse venue plus the pavilion and the new activities building . Artisan Vendor booths will take over the entire clubhouse beginning Friday evening , in addition to their usual Saturday and Sunday . The Opening Night Celebration , requiring tickets , will take place in the activities building , along with the silent auction , fine art gallery and student art gallery .
Introducing Jazz @ Charbonneau , including Rebecca Hardiman and The Dan Balmer Group !
For art lovers who enjoy grooving with the sounds of live jazz , our music stage is a festival within a festival . We call this new feature of the art festival “ Jazz @ Charbonneau .” It will showcase the sounds of local music artists beginning Friday evening with guitarist Kevin Karrick at the Opening Night Celebration in the Activities Center . Previous festival favorite Marilyn Anderson will play old favorites on the grand piano in the clubhouse Friday evening .
There will be three performances each weekend day at the Country Club ’ s outdoor Pavilion . It ’ s comfortable rain or shine , providing art and music lovers a place to rest , eat , drink and enjoy traditional jazz standards just footsteps away from art and artisan exhibits .
Jazz @ Charbonneau will feature the sounds of The Dan Balmer Group , Rebecca Hardiman , the Sarah Saul Combo , the LeMaster Jazztet and Charbonneau ’ s own Wayne Richards , with his jazz combo , Kind of Gray . We are also pleased to welcome writer , broadcaster and performer Lynn Darroch to the stage . Lynn hosts the weekly radio show “ Bright Moments !” on KM- HD-89.1 FM . Sponsorship opportunities for the Music Stage will be announced soon .
As previously reported , the Opening Night Celebration kicks things off from 6-9 p . m . on Friday , June 3 , with champagne , appetizers , music and the fine art gallery , silent auction , artisan vendor booths , and student art gallery . The silent auction will continue until Sunday at noon , giving bidders more choices and more opportunities to bid . Students at Canby and Wilsonville High Schools are painting large-scale panels for photo backgrounds . Be prepared to grab your smart phones and pose with The Mona Lisa and in front of Edvard Munch ’ s The Scream .
Volunteers needed !
As always , an event like this requires many volunteers to take on tasks , both big and small . From helping with set-up , to serving as a host in one of the galleries , to selling and receiving tickets , to helping with the silent auction , plus many more , there ’ s a job for everyone ! Please contact Shirley Hoem at shirleyhoem @ yahoo . com to add your name to the list . Volunteers earn a discounted ticket to the Opening Night Celebration , for only $ 5 instead of $ 15 in advance or $ 20 at the door . As with most volunteer opportunities in Charbonneau , this will be fun , and a chance to meet new folks and see old friends .
Sponsorships available for 2022 festival
Once again , we invite festival fans to become sponsors of the event . There are four levels to choose from : Bronze Level at $ 150 , to have your name listed as a festival sponsor on our website , festival signage and in the festival program , and two tickets to the Opening Night Celebration .

In a 1911 landmark Supreme Court decision , Chief Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes , Jr . opined that the “ right ” of a citizen to sell a currently owned life insurance policy for its highest value IS protected . Such a transaction in today ’ s parlance is known as a “ life settlement ”. Subsequent court rulings have upheld and agreed and thus have continued to protect the right of any consumer who seeks to receive such a settlement .
When focused on Fair Market Value , a life insurance policy may be a more difficult asset to correctly value and properly maintain particularly as many insureds reach older ages . In addition to affordability , several other financial elements that are not always apparent to policy owners or advisors can become highly significant .

Not to be Forgotten
Here are the three most IMPORTANT questions to ask .
1 ) Based on the current premium ( or lack of ) will the policy last as long as the person insured by it ?
2 ) Does the original purpose for the policy remain or could it be beneficially REPURPOSED ?
3 ) Does the current policy cash surrender value represent its ACTUAL “ fair market ” VALUE ?
Comprehensive Life Settlement Solution provides your best opportunity for accurate policy appraisals and potential financial offers . Our focus is helping clients age 70 or older to MONETIZE an existing policy that you may no longer require or one that has become too EXPENSIVE to do so . Regular insurance company annual statements and / or random estimates of POLICY values are often understated or completely inaccurate when left to those not sufficiently experienced and licensed to provide such valuations .
