TVF & R says ‘ Help us help you !’
Calling all Charbonneau residents : Mark your calendar for 4 p . m . Tuesday , July 12 at Charbonneau ’ s Event Center . Learn all about our city ’ s Wilsonville Ready program and how to help first responders help YOU ! Greg Leo and Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue personnel will be presenting this vital information .
Attendees will receive a free emergency whistle while they last ! It ’ s important in a medical emergency that first responders know about your conditions and medications . If you complete an Emergency Medical Card and post it on your refrigerator , the card can provide responders with critical information such as current medications , the physician ’ s name , past surgeries and emergency contacts . You may also include the location of advanced directives including Do Not Resuscitate ( DNR ) orders . We will have the cards available for you at this event . Dorene Boger , community affairs specialist with TVF & R , will answer questions about this important form of communication in an emergency . Dorene will also share information on how to cope with smokey air during fire season .
The Wilsonville City Council has established a broad goal of “ Engaging the Community to Support Emergency Preparedness and Resiliency ” and has established an exciting program called Wilsonville Ready . While our Charbonneau community has extensive emergency plans in place , we are excited to join in with this city effort to establish a more resilient population .
REMEMBER : Don ’ t be scared , BE PRE- PARED ! A great way to check on your level of preparedness is to check out the Wilsonville Ready website ! Each month , the campaign is tackling a piece of emergency preparation . The city will illustrate the value of preparedness and provide tools and training to make it easier for individuals , families and businesses to become more prepared . Go to https :// www . ci . wilsonville . or . us / ready .
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES :
EPPS committee volunteers are working on ways to be ready for community-wide emergencies in Charbonneau .
A system of solar panels and lithium batteries is going to be installed soon at the new Activities Center .
A backup generator for the Activities Center is budgeted for this year , and specifications and options are being developed .
Upgrades to the emergency radio network for Charbonneau have been approved by the CCC Board for this year .
We are always looking for additional volunteers to help with the many projects and initiatives that the EPPS committee has undertaken . If you have any experience with communication technology , backup generators , solar systems and water supply systems , please consider volunteering some time to help us be prepared .

CCC BOARD PRESIDENT
Our most beloved Charbonneau Country Club Board of Directors member , Pat Tewell , passed away just before Memorial Day . All of her fellow board members agree that Pat was one of the nicest , kindest , and most generous people they knew .
Pat was our board secretary and chaired the Activities Committee and Nominating Committee . She was also a member of the Financial Oversight Committee . She could often be found organizing events , decorating for them or participating in various activities . Through her events and her open , outgoing style she became very well known

Game nights , wine tasting event coming up
While several Charbonneau clubs closed down for the summer , Solo Sisters is just revving up ! It has
FERGUSON been three months since we were last together , so we have some making up to do . In March we had a hosted dinner followed by a couple of rousing games of Left , Center , Right . We played for quarters , but recently I was in the Charbonneau community . She and her husband , Mike , moved to Charbonneau in 2004 to be closer to grandchildren . She served on the CCC Board for five years and , in addition to the above board committees , also served on the Communications and Landscape Committees in her earlier years on the board . She enjoyed the Activities Committee the most because , in her

words , it brought happiness to so many Charbonneau residents . Pat has also been an officer in the Niners golf group and treasurer for the Pink Ball Tournament . She always enjoyed the beauty of Charbonneau as she drove into the first entrance . Pat was one of a kind and will be significantly missed by all of us that knew her .
at a party put on by my daughter ’ s friend , Lu , who is a much younger woman . At Lu ’ s party we played Left , Center , Right for dollars and we sang along with whatever music was being played that night . Maybe we need to try this game format at Solo Sisters !! It sure added energy to the party !
Then , Solo Sisters shut down for April and May while COVID once again ran rampant in Charbonneau .
Our June event is another game night along with an international buffet . I can ’ t wait to see what culinary delights our members come up with that are from across the border , such as chips and guacamole , or around the world . Maybe we ’ ll get to enjoy bruschetta from Italy or baklava from Greece ! We
