Free ballroom dance lessons for beginners
Yes , you read that right ! Charbonneau residents Randy and Lynn Hitz will be offering five FREE ballroom dance lessons . Randy and Lynn have
WINKLER been ballroom dancing for decades and would like to share their expertise and joy with the Charbonneau community free of charge . Some of you will recall that they taught ballroom dance in Charbonneau in the fall of 2019 . Shortly after that they taught lessons on a month-long Viking cruise . Since that time , COVID has prevented them from teaching dance until now . This class is meant for beginners and due to COVID , we think it ’ s best that people sign up as couples to ensure everyone has someone to dance with . If you can join them , we recommend you wear dance shoes or shoes with leather soles .
Classes will be held in the Activity Center recreation room on Thursdays at 5 p . m . Classes begin Nov . 10 and will run for five weeks .
Be sure to register with your dance partner at the reception desk in the Activity Center . The class is limited
to 10 couples . If you have questions , please call Randy at 503-853-4891 .
Charbonneau Sharing accepting toys , clothes and gift cards through Dec . 16
This holiday season will be an especially challenging time for families in need . Each year Charbonneau residents have generously donated to Toy & Joy / Compassion in Action of Clackamas County . This year we are asking Charbonneau residents to donate new unwrapped toys and clothing , and gift cards . You may drop the items off at the Activity Center reception desk . We will place them under the Christmas tree in the Activity Center Library until it is time to deliver them to Toy & Joy / Compassion in Action of Clackamas County . The items will then be distributed to the children of Wilsonville families in need . We are collecting donations through Dec . 16 . Let ’ s help families in need provide a bit of happiness to the children this holiday season .
