Schirm was also named to the All-State Super Team. The senior catcher had another strong year behind the dish catching one of the top pitching staffs in the state and throwing out six base stealers, but he also had a big summer at the plate hitting. 376 with a. 485 OBP to go with eight doubles, 15 RBIs and 15 walks against just three strikeouts for the 3A champion Dutch.

The sophomore star of the Savages earned first-team all-state honors from the Iowa Baseball Coaches Association, leading Sigourney at the plate with seven home runs while finishing second with 33 RBI and 52 total bases during the season. Clarahan also made a team-leading eight pitching starts this season, going 5-0 with 53 strikeouts and a 1.80 ERA.

Kettler was named to the All-State Super Team for a second year in a row. The Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville signee finished off his final year with the Dutch by helping lead them to their first state title. The centerfielder finished with a. 363 batting average along with a. 492 on-base percentage while tallying 25 walks, 11 doubles, three home runs and 36 RBIs. He also only committed one error in the field and pitched 31 2 / 3 innings with a 3-1 record, 2.21 ERA and 47 strikeouts.
