Marion Community Bank announced the groundbreaking of its new full-service branch, located at 8060 Chantilly Parkway Place in Pike Road. This new location will serve as a relocation of the bank’ s current Montgomery branch at 7480 Halcyon Pointe Drive. The new branch will offer a full suite of banking services in a modern, customer-friendly environment, reinforcing the Bank’ s dedication to personal service and community-focused banking. Construction is officially underway and is expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2026.

MONTGOMERY WHITEWATER PARK WINS PRESTIGIOUS ENGINEERING AWARD

Montgomery’ s newest attraction and engineering feat, Montgomery Whitewater Park, has been recognized with a prestigious engineering award. The project was honored with the Grand Prize at the 2025 Engineering Excellence Awards presented by the American Council of Engineering Companies of Alabama( ACEC Alabama), in addition to receiving an ACEC National Recognition Award thanks to its unique design and economic impact.

PRATTVILLE UNVEILS $ 19.3 MILLION-DOLLAR STADIUM RENOVATION

Prattville officials unveiled the massive $ 19.3 million renovation of Stanley-Jensen Stadium. The City of Prattville stadium is the home playing field for the Prattville High School Lions sports teams and is used for other schools and city league sports teams.

CITY OF MONTGOMERY AND THE MONTGOMERY BISCUITS ANNOUNCE 15-YEAR LEASE RENEWAL

The City of Montgomery and the Montgomery Biscuits, the Minor League Baseball Double-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays, have announced a 15-year lease renewal that will keep the club in the capital city through 2040. The Biscuits are the defending first and second-half champions in the Southern League’ s South Division. They finished the 2024 season with an 80-57 record and advanced to the league championship series.
