LOWDER NEW HOMES BREAKS GROUND ON HAWTHORNE
On June 4, Lowder New Homes officially broke ground on Hawthorne, a new residential community nestled off Atlanta Highway, adjacent to the well-known Arrowhead neighborhood. This event marks a significant milestone not only for the future Hawthorne community but also for Lowder New Homes’ 70th year in business. Founded in 1956, Lowder continues its legacy of crafting high-quality neighborhoods designed to enrich lives and create lasting memories.
PRATTVILLE APPROVES $ 15M BOND TO FUND CITY CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS
The Prattville City Council voted to float a nearly $ 15 million bond issue to fund a range of city projects. The $ 14.83 million total will fund City Hall annex renovations, Vista Point Park improvements, public safety training facility, Stanley Jensen Stadium renovations, Newton Park renovations, Spillway Park improvements and Laney Drive Extension for the Central Alabama Community College campus.
MONTGOMERY CHAMBER AND INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT BOARD( IDB) RECEIVE $ 1.27M SEEDS INVESTMENT TO POWER REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT
The Alabama Department of Commerce formally presented the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce and the Montgomery Industrial Development Board( IDB) with a $ 1.27 million SEEDS grant— marking a significant investment in the capital region’ s industrial growth, future site development and logistics readiness. The grant will support the acquisition of the 111-acre Del Sol property.

In recognition of Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama’ s( HMMA) 20 years of automotive production in Alabama, Governor Kay Ivey has issued a formal commendation celebrating the company’ s economic impact, job creation and commitment to excellence in the state. Since its grand opening in May 2005, HMMA has built 6.2 million vehicles, employed over 4,000 team members and helped grow Alabama into a national leader in automotive manufacturing.
