Peru
Octavio Areiza , OMS church multiplication facilitator for Peru , recently visited our church planting partners , Alcanzando Al Perú , in Tarapoto during a large city festival . While dining in a restaurant , he noticed two parents absorbed on their phones , ignoring their son . Octavio felt a nudge to intervene . He challenged them to put down their phones and talk as a family and told them that if they did , he would pay their bill . They agreed . As they were leaving , they gave Octavio their number . Fast forward … Octavio and the team ended up visiting the family ’ s hometown . In their home , Octavio gifted the son with a new ball and invited the parents to renew their decision to follow Jesus .
