Twice Blessed House
Twice Blessed House provides a home away from home for pre-and post-transplant patients and caregivers who live more than 50 miles from the hospital . Thanks to donations made to the Foundation , guests pay an affordable , low nightly rate . In 2021 , 60 families utilized this service for 1,346 nights of stay in the eight units . In spring 2021 , Twice Blessed House moved to Mistletoe Station and is now conveniently located within walking distance of the hospital .
Through a philanthropic grant from the Once Upon a Time Foundation , AngelEye Camera Systems were installed in April 2019 in our neonatal intensive care unit . This system brings live-streaming video of the infant to family members anywhere , 24 / 7 , on any device . Live-streaming access can reduce stress and anxiety for parents with a child in the NICU and support bonding when family members cannot be at the hospital . Since the system went live , families have logged nearly 8,000 viewing hours .
