After a lengthy hospital stay , Dee Faxel and her husband Ralph wanted to do something meaningful to help the nurses that provided such outstanding care . In 2001 , Dee and Ralph Faxel established the Faxel Fund for Nursing Education with a significant donation to establish an endowment to support nursing education , recruitment , specialty certifications and retention . The Faxel Fund has provided millions of dollars to support our nurses ’ professional development and engagement .
Although originally named the All Saints Care Committee , the mission of the Employees 1 st Emergency Assistance Fund remains the same : to provide support for employees experiencing unexpected financial hardship due to circumstances beyond their control . The fund , established in 2000 , is supported entirely through charitable donations from employees and community donors . During COVID-19 , $ 250,000 in financial assistance was provided to All Saints ’ employees .
