Transplant Program Comes to Fort Worth
A comprehensive liver and kidney transplant service opened at Baylor All Saints Medical Center in 2002 and was the first in Tarrant County . As an extension of the Annette C . and Harold C . Simmons Transplant Institute , the citizens of Fort Worth benefit from the same quality and expertise that has been available at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas since 1983 . Since performing the first liver transplant on July 1 , 2002 , the robust transplant program provides liver , kidney , living donor kidney and pancreas transplants in Fort Worth .

’ s Lunch
This annual luncheon , established in 2003 , honored the memory of Laura Leonard Hallum and supported the Laura Leonard Hallum Neuroscience Center . Laura passed away at 34 following a long bout with cancer . Her family firmly believed Laura ’ s life was prolonged in time and quality by revolutionary technology called the Gamma Knife . Laura ’ s Lunch was held for 10 years to offer Gamma Knife technology at All Saints , the first facility in Tarrant County to provide this technology .

Martha Sue Parr Transplant Unit

Supported by a lead gift from the Martha Sue Parr Trust and other generous donors , Baylor All Saints opened a 27-bed unit in April 2006 designed to provide treatment for patients undergoing liver , kidney and pancreas transplants . The transplant unit continues to accommodate acutely ill patients who must remain in the hospital for a significant amount of time while waiting for or recovering from transplant surgery .

Louella and Nicholas Martin Tower
The hospital ’ s primary bed tower , which opened in 1995 , was named in 2005 in honor of Lou and Nick Martin after receiving a significant gift from the philanthropist couple . Long-time champions of Baylor Scott & White All Saints , Nick and Lou contributed toward key projects , including pain management , Andrews Women ’ s Hospital , Cardiovascular and Oncology services , and the Emergency Department that opened in 2017 .
