The Cornerstone Christian School PTFA By-Laws
5 l . Is able to sign PTFA checks along with the Treasurer .
3 . Vice-President a . In the absence of the President at Executive Committee and PTFA meetings , the Vice- President will take over all the duties of the President . In the event that the President is unable to complete a term , the vacancy in this office shall be filled as follows : “ The Vice- President shall fill the presidency until an election can be held .” ( Article VIII : Elections , Paragraph 7 ).
b . Reconciles the PTFA ’ s monthly bank statements as an individual not authorized to sign checks ;
c . Arranges for the physical aspects of the PTFA meetings : use of building , equipment arrangements , set-up , clean-up , etc .;
d . Conducts all necessary correspondence regarding program arrangements ; e . Attends all PTFA Executive Committee meetings ; f .
Prepares nametags for attendees and “ ice breakers ” for the meetings , and arranges for fellowship amongst attendees ;
g . Carries out such other duties as assigned by the President .
4 . Treasurer a . Receives , deposits , and disburses all PTFA funds as authorized ;
b . Is able to sign PTFA checks in addition to the President ( but is not the individual who reconciles the monthly bank statements as a means of “ checks and balances ,” which is a responsibility assigned to the Vice President );
c . Keeps financial records suitable for an audit ( the books of the Treasurer shall be open at all times to the inspection of the Executive Committee and the PTFA at every monthly meeting );
d . Balances books at the end of the school year ;
e . Enables a transition each election year to the new Treasurer to ensure understanding of how the financial records are maintained ; f .
Presents a written treasurer ’ s report at each Executive Committee meeting and specific PTFA meeting ;
g . Plans for the annual PTFA budget with the President and supervises it throughout the year ; h . Attends all PTFA Executive Committee meetings ;
