WINNER: Delcon Civil – Glenroy
Main Drain Upgrade Project
The Main Drain Upgrade Project involved
the construction of a new stormwater drain
system to minimise flooding risk in Glenroy.
Constructed over 10 project stages, works
travelled along and traversed a 1.5 kilometre
alignment of residential backstreets. Delcon
Civil undertook the installation of 1800mm
reinforced concrete pipe sections and
80m of box culverts and constructed and
installed 18 in situ and precast junction pits
- all while maintaining live flows. The team
implemented an exceptional community
engagement program that contributed to
successfully working within a sensitive and
confined residential area.
