WHAT IS IT ?

The Aerospace Technology Associate in Science Degree is a two-year program with two embedded workforce certificate programs that prepares graduates for entry-level positions in the aerospace and aeronautics industry . Graduates also will qualify for many applied technology jobs such as testing , fabrication , assembly , repair and manufacturing .
Students will learn basic soldering skills , wire wrapping , potting , crimping , cabled lacing and repair , troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical circuits and how to assemble , operate , inspect and test fluid systems .
Program participants also will learn advanced concepts and skills allowing them to create a structural fabrication project per drawings and specifications , demonstrate knowledge of specialized tools and devices , accurately read blueprints , understand geometric dimensioning and tolerances , as well as identify precision measuring and test equipment .
