EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN APPLIED TECHNOLOGY DIPLOMA( ADT)

WHAT IS IT?

An emergency medical technician( or EMT) is a healthcare professional trained to provide basic emergency medical care and transportation services. They may be the first on the scene to respond and have the basic skills and equipment to assess the situation and provide life-saving measures to the patient.
Upon successful completion of this one-semester Eastern Florida State College program, students earn an Applied Technology Diploma and are eligible to sit for the State of Florida( National NREMT) certification exam.
Note: An EMT certification is required to become a paramedic. This is a limited access program. A special application process is required for this program.
