WHAT IS IT ?
Law Enforcement Officers are employed by the state , counties , and municipalities to provide law enforcement services such as patrol , investigations , and crime prevention . This program provides minimal standards of education for law enforcement officers as required by the Crimal Justice Standards and Training Commission ( CJSTC ). This program is approximally 5 months in duration and includes an overview of the Criminal Justice System as well as basic and high liability courses . Upon successful completion of the program , students are eligible to sit for the State Officer Certification Exam ( SOCE ).
Note : This is a limited access program . A Special application process is required for this program .
