WELDING TECHNOLOGY CAREER AND TECHNICAL CERTIFICATE

WHAT IS IT?

EFSC’ s Welding Technology program provides the theoretical and practical experience necessary to develop a basic foundation in the skills of welding. It’ s designed to train students to become certified welders in pipe and structural steel and in ferrous and nonferrous base materials.
The program is taught on the Cocoa campus. It is structured as full-time, day classes, Monday- Thursday. The courses are offered in two, 20-week terms that start in Fall Term( August) and lead to the Welding Career and Technical Certificate( CTC). The program is 1050 clock hours in length and can be completed in under one year.
Instruction and standards are according to the American Welding Society( AWS), ASME, API, and ANSI approved codes for the welding industry. This includes quality and safety processes.
Note: The Welding program is a limited access program. A specialized application process is required.
