WHAT IS IT?

Surgical technologists work with the surgeon, anesthesiologist or anesthetist, and professional registered nurse as a member of the direct patient care team during surgery.
This two-year EFSC degree program includes an embedded college credit certificate and equips students with the skills they need to assist by preparing and handling supplies and equipment to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for the patient through specific techniques and practices designed to exclude all pathogenic microorganisms from the operative wound.
Note: The Surgical Technology Services program is a limited access program. A specialized application process is required.
