RADIOGRAPHY A. S. DEGREE

WHAT IS IT?

Radiographers are integral members of a team dedicated to patient care. Their primary role is to perform the technical procedures in producing X-ray studies for diagnosis of disease and injury.
Students in EFSC’ s Associate in Science degree Radiography program complete two years of combined academic study and hospital experience. The academic program includes radiologic and general college courses. Students who complete the program will be eligible to take the radiography examination for national certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the licensure examination of the State of Florida.
The program is designed to develop competent and professional radiographers who, by virtue of theory and practice, are proficient in all facets of x-ray technology, have a high degree of adaptability in a changing technology, exhibit leadership qualities, and are positioned to continue their ongoing educational goals.
Note: The Radiography program is a limited access program. A specialized application process is required.
