WHAT IS IT ?
EFSC ’ s Associate in Science Degree in Respiratory Care prepares graduates as specialists dealing with the diagnosis , assessment , treatment and rehabilitation of patients with cardiopulmonary diseases .
Students in this two-year program will be exposed to and will be expected to perform in all areas within the hospital setting as they train to work as a respiratory therapist . Emphasis is placed on acute and critical care .
The program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care ( CoARC ) and satisfies the requirements established by the National Board for Respiratory Care , qualifying the graduate as a candidate for the national registry examination .
