Research
The purpose of research into an interviewee or specific interviews is to find out facts about the interviewee and devising specific questions that relate to the information about the interviewee. As this interviews being conducted will revolve around how students cope with school pressure, the research will need to go in-depth about the methods that students may use to reduce the amount of pressure they feel during school and how they manage to sustain a social life whilst working to achieve a high grade. On the other hand, certain students will be targeted, such as students that struggle to maintain their school and social lives and a series of interviews obtained from secondary research will be used to analyse why that is the case.
An important purpose of the research for the interview is to discover the potential issues that surround the pressure of sixth form students and what really distracts them for achieving the best possible grades they are capable of. This will require an extensive amount of research into certain issues that harm the potential of students obtaining a good grade, what home problems may affect their psychological state and what they feel are the factors contributing towards their pressure.
Throughout researching and gaining information, areas of interest must be considered and the types of issues the interviewee may want to be asked must be taken into consideration. Taking a keen eye into the interest of the interviewee is a key aspect of researching, as it can lead to a more solid interview with more interesting questions, rather than it being spontaneous and questions that do not relate to the topic in question being asked. Therefore, preparing for this interview will require an extensive amount of research into what questions may interest the interviewee, which could improve the quality of answers received and more information into the interviewee’s ability to cope with school pressure.
