The concerts and the dress rehearsal
From the beginning of May until mid-June, the concert is performed as many times as is
necessary for all the children who have worked on it during the year to sing it.
Just before each concert there is a dress rehearsal, which is the first time that each child
is in the performance space, hears the musicians live, works with the musical director and
hears their voice along with the voices of hundreds of other children that they have never
seen before.
It is thanks to the excellent work of each teacher with their class and the great
professionalism, experience and seriousness of the organisation that, with just one
rehearsal, the levels of quality and professionalism produced in each concert are reached.
At each concert, depending on the capacity of the stage where it is held, between 250
and 800 singers perform and an audience of between 350 and 1.500 people attends,
again depending on the capacity of the hall.
Each concert is a very special event where each singer gives the best of themselves in a
large group and the audience – often parents and grandparents – receives with great
excitement the culmination of all the work they have been following from home for months.
