Busting the Vegan
Myth in
Bodybuilding.....

As a coach, I take
immense pride in
applying all protocols to
myself first and
foremost. After all, how
can anyone prescribe a
program with confidence
that they have not lived
themselves?
I often get asked “What
made you try vegan?”
I have done Lacto-Ovo
Vegetarian with success,
but still had some issues
with digestion. Some
benefits came with being
full vegan that I did not
expect:
• No more anxiety
medication
• No more insomnia
medication
• No more digestive
medication
Now, I’m not here to
preach everyone should
be vegan; however, our
bodies LOVE different
sources of aminos. It’s
how we are built and
thrive.
Meat-based diets run a
highly acidic
environment, and as we
all know, alkaline is key
for muscle building,
maintenance, recovery,
immune system function, and
overall health.
Adding a couple vegan sources
to any diet would assist in
alleviating internal
inflammation and some of that
highly acidic environment.
Sounds like a win to me!
I’ve had discussions with
hunters as well and while this
source may be much more
natural, you have no way of
knowing if that elk survived a
blood disease 2 years ago and
now you’ve consumed some
remnants of the prior illness.
