Plant based protein is a PRIMARY source.   I’ve heard it all: “Tigers and lions are meat eaters!” Let’s be realistic. We aren’t even close to feline. You have all the largest mammals like elephants and rhinos, and ones hunted for lean mass such as elk, moose and deer, whom all acquired that mass from a plant based diet.  We aren’t moose though!  We aren’t elephants though!  Yes. Okay, I agree.  So let’s look at one in particular that all bodybuilders will acknowledge.  GORILLAS have adapted a herbivorous digestive  22 Issue 27 | 234 system  and are one of the  closest primate to man. For anyone chasing lean muscle mass, the gorilla is the king of the ring.  For the last 8 months I’ve been primarily vegan based, weighed-in heavier than my previous shows, and took 3rd in men’s Heavy-weight and Men’s Classic Physique.  Proof is in the pudding.  Loss of size?
