Try to go o ten to the grocery store and look for the clearance section. Oftentimes you can get very high quality cuts of meats, fruits or vegetables at 50% off or more just because they are coming close to the end of their lifespan. Again, you can freeze these objects if you will not be able to use them before they go bad. If you go often, you can also make friends with the employees there and they might be able to give you tips on when these items go on sale usually. Check out local farmers or the farmer’s market. You can make friends with them and you will oftentimes get super high quality foods there at a cheaper price. You can also buy in bulk here and they will be more open to haggling than your local grocery store. Look for cheaper cuts of protein. You can look for roasts and make stews for the week if this is what your budget allows as opposed to eating filet mignon’s all week. You can try to have beans and legumes as opposed to rice. If you are on a budget, you can also shop around for protein powder that may still be a good quality but at a lower price.
