Let me start off by saying that I personally believe food choices should not be primarily made based off price. There are many things in life you can be cheap with, but food should not be one of them. Proper nutrition should not be seen as an option but as mandatory. Oftentimes I will get new clients who say that they focus on eating a low protein diet because they do not want to spend the money on higher protein options, or that they cannot afford to get their healthy fats in so instead they get their fats from fatty meats and processed foods. This is nowhere near the same thing and making food choices based off price can affect not only the way you look, but most importantly your health. Prioritizing health should not be a personal matter in my opinion but instead a necessity that everyone does. What does having more money in the bank, or fancier electronics matter, if in the long run you are deteriorating your health? Moral of this message is: do not be cheap with your food. No amount of money in the bank can come close to the joy that good health brings. In a perfect world, we would all be able to afford and have access to organic, fresh food of the highest quality. In reality though, many of us cannot afford that because of other responsibilities in life. Things like having a roof over our heads or being able to pay for our gym memberships can be important in life too.
