Brandon Cook Interview
GM Ross: Let's talk a bit about your big WBA Inter-Continental title win against Gogi Knezevic. It represented a lot of firsts for you. First pro fight in Ajax, first scheduled twelve rounds, first international championship. What was going through your mind on fight day? How about immediately after the fight?
Brandon Cook: I had a lot riding on that fight. Gogi was a good test for me. I was a bit nervous for that fight, but only because it was in my hometown with hundreds of my fans, friends, and family there. It only went four rounds, so I didn't get into those late rounds and see how I would react if it went all twelve. I'm sure it will happen sooner or later and I will be ready for that. Fight day was the same as any other. I was relaxed and ready to throw down. I knew how hard I trained and I wasn't going to let him stop me from taking that belt home with me. Right after the fight, I was so happy with everything my team did for me and that all the hard work over the weeks of training finally paid off. I couldn't ask for a better night than that.
GM Ross: On November 21, you'll defend your WBA Inter-Continental title for the first time. Your opponent is 62 fight veteran Rafael Sosa Pintos. What do believe will give you the edge in this fight?
Brandon Cook: The only thing I always believe will give me the edge over anyone I fight is I always train harder, smarter, and want that victory more. I will do anything in my power to win and I will keep fighting until that final bell. On November 21, Rafael is just another guy that is put In front of me. I will make sure he isn't going home with my belt.

Fighter of the Month
Kevin Bizier
There was little doubt who the fighter of the month would be for our inagural issue of the Canadian Boxiana e-magazine. Kevin Bizier's (25-2-0, 17KOs) victory over Ghana's Fredrick Lawson (24-1-0, 20KOs) was nothing short of spectacular. Bizier utterly pummelled Lawson for ten rounds, forcing the latter to retire between rounds 10 and 11 with an injured jaw. The contest was an IBF welterweight eliminator, lining Bizier up for a fight with champion Kell Brook (35-0-0, 24KOs).
